Amerigas is awful. I have had them for 3 1/2 years. I was on the "keep full" program and still had to call them all the time to have them fill the tank. Then just a few weeks ago in the middle of winter, they let me run out. When I woke up to a cold house, the woman in the office told me that if I wasn't out (in spite of my furnace, hot water heater and stove not turning on), they would charge me an additional $100 for coming out. I thought this pretty rude and obvious that I was out! I am sick of having to be the one to call and the poor customer service. I feel like a second class citizen in spite of the fact that I pay the day I get the bill and they have never had to wait on me. So I cancelled my service and have gone to another company. It has been a couple weeks, and I am still waiting for them to come and pick up the tank. And of course, I still have to pay the exorbitant charge for the tank they filled until they get around to picking it up and refunding the gas. All I can say is stay away if you have any other choice. And be aware that Amerigas and Flame have just merged. Hopefully this means the service will improve and not take on Amerigas' ways.
